Who we are

A community-based organization for people & nature

RUSEO is a legal community-based organization (CBO) located in Mlola ward within Lushoto District. Our target area covers all internal and peripheral places of Lushoto District. We mobilize and promote environmental hygiene and sanitation, biodiversity restoration through tree planting, environmental education and awareness, and entrepreneurship skills that work in harmony with nature. We also build a trusted link between the local society and humanitarian supporters abroad — channelling clothes, school renovations, support for people with special needs, and agricultural seeds to the households that need them most.

We exist to regenerate the land and protect the health of rural communities in Lushoto District.

Delivering an environmental education programme to local societies so change is understood and owned.

Toilet rebuilding & renovation

Rebuilding and renovating local toilets from poor systems to safe, standard sanitation.

Where we are heading

Planting about 50 million trees by 2030, rebuilding and renovating more than 25,000 local toilets by 2030, and reaching a large number of local households to improve social awareness concerning environmental issues.
